objectives: - Designing for other designers is a unique challenge. When the RMCAD AIGA Student Group asked me to create their website, I took a user-centered approach to understanding their needs and desires. As a group member and leader, I knew I would need to challenge some of my own assumptions about the site's users. While my primary objective was to develop a site that would serve the needs of the group, I also wanted to gain hands-on practice with research methodologies and user-centered practices including persona creation, architecture mapping, paper prototyping, and user testing.

& outcomes: - Using these design methodologies kept me honest and really allowed me to understand and design for the people who would be using the web site. A disciplined approach to iterative user testing allowed me to overcome some of my assumptions about how users would navigate the site. Throughout the project, I was able to maintain a balance between information and intuition, allowing me to refine the site into something that my fellow design students could both use and enjoy.
