about me
“The process of designing may be the competitive advantage designers of all disciplines bring to the projects in the future, particularly as projects become more complex, strategic, mulitdisciplinary and conceptual.”

designer, communicator, information architect — helping people navigate, helping people thrive.
- » purpose:
- I see myself as an information, communication, and experience designer with a passion for research and problem solving. I pay attention to the way people interface with objects, systems, businesses, society, the environment, each other, and themselves. I look for ways to make that experience more effective, more rewarding, and more human. I want to make things that help people see, understand, navigate, make decisions, communicate, and thrive. I want to help businesses understand their customers, and I want to help other designers understand their users. I want to move from understanding to design, and back again.
- » focus:
- Conceptualization, experience design, information architecture, interaction design, problem solving, prototyping, systems design, understanding, user-centered design.
- » person:
- Design may be my passion, but it's not my only interest. I'm an avid knitter, and I have played bass guitar for over 10 years. I'm interested in photography, web communities, DIY, and downshifting, and I hope to run in a marathon before I'm 30!
